When you hear “Hawaii”, what immediately comes to mind? Probably, you envision yourself enjoying a long, cool drink while lounging on a powdery white beach and watching your children build their sandcastles or wade in pristine, aquamarine waters. This is Hawaii, as we know it: a place for dreamy tropical vacations.
The Cost of a Trip to Paradise
Definitely, a trip to Hawaii would cost you a lot of money. In fact, the average cost of a trip to Hawaii is rising. In 2006, Travel-Hawaii.com estimated the total cost of Hawaiian vacations to be around US$7,000. This projected cost index is for a vacation by a family of four and a stay of approximately 7 days in Hawaii. It includes all the usual costs such as airfare, hotel accommodations or lodging expenses, food expenditures, car rentals, fuel, and other types of vacation expenses.
Melissa Weber of andHawaii.com did a calculation of the current costs of a typical one-week vacation for two people in Hawaii. Using her projections and raising it to include two more people, the total estimated cost of a 7-day vacation in Hawaii for a family of four today plays around US$7540, including car rental costs.
Costs of vacationing in Hawaii are therefore rising. Hotel accommodations are also keeping up with the trend and a typical stay at an average hotel would cost you around US$175 per room per night. During a seven-night vacation where you need two rooms, you’d have to shell out around US$2450 in accommodation costs alone.
Thus, if you and your family are planning to take a one-week Hawaiian vacation every year for 15 years, you’re going to spend around US$36,750 just for accommodation costs. This amount doesn’t yet account for inflation and the expected continued rise of accommodation costs due to the sustained rise in Hawaiian tourism.
The bottom line: if you wish to spend your annual vacations in Hawaii, you’d better find a way to mitigate the costs of such vacations. It is recommended that you look around for timeshare auctions and buy a Hawaii timeshare to do just that.
Why Buy Hawaii Timeshares
Hawaii timeshares are a popular option for vacationers who love going to Hawaii at least once every year, and why not? When you buy a timeshare instead of renting hotel rooms, you need only pay a one-time fee to purchase the right to use a vacation property for seven days. You may also buy, with your purchase fee, outright ownership of one share of a unit in a timeshare resort or condominium development.
From the time of purchase, you have exclusive right to use the property at the appointed time and only pay the requisite annual maintenance costs that may be as low as $300 annually in some properties. This is truly a very practical alternative to paying around $200 for every night of your whole family’s stay in hotels or resorts, the amenities of which cannot begin to compare with those provided by timeshare properties.
So, if you’re ready to shop for a Hawaii timeshare, here’s some information about timeshare sales in Hawaii that can help you make your timeshare purchase decision.
